Welcome to 2011

It is now 2011 and quite far into it by the standards of what I usually do in terms of the occasional news updates that I do here on this personal website of mine. It is January 21st, 2011. So what happened in 2010? Quite a lot. To sum up some examples of what happened: Barton Ct. Productions Inc. finished filming the entire first season of Barton Police: The Online Comedy Series and began working on the final 9th episode, Dirty Mechanism Apparel became no more, NGP (New Government Project) here at this website went completely dormant, I had and then lost a child, I started writing two new books, and I began the first initial talks for my departure from Barton Ct. Scott Free Thinking also saw a rebirth and reawakening with about ten new article editions and now at the very tail end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011 I have decided to finally become politically active, being a goal of mine that comes second only to pursuing graduate school and the final classes as a part of my undergrad degree.

At the dawn of my newfound political effort will be a series of training and educational experiences that I will be putting myself through for the purposes of bettering my mind, body, and ability to survive in a world that increasingly could fall apart at a drastic pace sooner than many people probably realize. The United States as we know it has been falling apart rapidly, something I address in the welcome letter when people sign up to a new e-mail list I just created. In addition to developing a physical infrastructure for when things go haywire, I’m starting a new website called Scott Free Society, now under construction, to inform people of the issues and to explore the depths of my newfound interest in political science and the concept of personal freedom.

So what’s on the agenda for 2011? Here are a few things that I have laid out which I find are very important to me to complete and accomplish…

I must complete two more semesters of classes at the University of Houston for my Bachelors of Science degree, which will be a double major in psychology and sociology. As an extension of this, I will soon be applying to graduate school to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology but probably first a Masters in Counseling. My education and credentials that will allow me to have an increased level of credibility and knowledge in my field of human development remains my top priority. There is always more to learn and it is earning these degrees which will allow me to develop a solid set of clients who will be able to benefit from behavioral science. I am a huge believer in the field of behavioral science, particularly that of general psychology and cognitivism.

There is a plan in place for me to build a physical infrastructure to prepare the worst and hope for the best. I will be setting up access to alternative survival resources, increasing my own personal security, searching for affordable energy alternatives should that become necessary, and many other measures. Scott Free Society is also a major project all its own, a website that already has over 250 pages to explore once a reader sees the launched website, let alone the number of news updates and articles that will likely be written over the course of the next two years for the site. These two portions, the website more likely to accompany the activities aligned with the second half of 2011 more so than the first half, are considered the political arm of my daily lifestyle. I will seek to educate, to learn, to debate, and to take an active role in the current political process in supporting candidates that can help restore the United States to a better condition. Even in the midst of many of my oppositions to purely capitalistic societies and my strong doubts about the integrity or so-called near-perfection or brilliance of American government, I know that protecting that is surely more important than facing the alternative that is being proposed by the globalists interests and material elite. Perhaps most of all, I wish to protect freedom of speech. With my being a scientist, science cannot exist without free speech and therefore much of my own career would probably cease to exist if I were to ever oppose an official, totalitarian agenda with my own research and opinion.

My two books, The Social Solution and Survive, Replicate, Empower: The Science of Humanity’s Improvement are set to be completed by the end of this year. Contrary to what many people might believe about the first mentioned title, it is NOT a political work of any sort but rather a book on social skills. While I may write a book that is politically oriented in the future (and that is not something I have ruled out), most of my writing in the form of these books will continue to be about empowerment, individual and group intelligences, long term survival, personal development, and scientifically supported methods of bettering the mind and body. This includes more books in the future on topics such as nutrition and exercise, mental health, goal setting and goal achievement, and so on. In addition to my degrees and my political actions, I want people to know that I still think the best way for them to succeed will be through important methods of self awareness and self improvement.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I want to play for once. I’ve been working extremely hard for the past 5 years and it’s about time I get a break. So, whenever possible, I’m going to exercise, kick back, play some videogames, and frankly: do what a lot of “normal” people like to do. Chances are, I’ll need the time off as much as I’m willing to give myself some of it with all of the verbal fighting I’ll be doing and the amount of energy that will go into my writing and literate projects. At some point in the year, I do hope to find a way to earn some money to buy myself a toy of some kind. Maybe a new computer, a new gaming system, an iPad, or something that will not drive me up the wall and leave me entirely frustrated. Over the years, I would say that the amount of frustration I have begun to feel about the rest of the world has grown substantially. This really has gotten me to a point where, while I am not only burned out, I think I am in need of some serious acceptance and zen factor. But for those of you who like to see me slaving away, have no fear – taking time off will not by any means imply that I will sacrifice any portion of my principles by even a tiny bit. It simply means that this year I am going to take some extra time to recharge my batteries and take care of myself. Who knows? That habit may even continue into 2012 – it’s a healthy thing to do when you have the option.

In regards to 2010, 2010 was, aside from the terrible event of the death of my son, Tristan Reese Lee, a pretty wonderful year. I also accomplished a lot. I managed to make better grades than before in my final semester (which is strange, given that my workload was drastically increased). People are also probably aware that when it comes to my new book, Survive, Replicate, Empower, it has been under works for quite some time and many are asking if I will ever finish it. In fact, I made significant headway on the book’s progress this past year, writing over 80 pages worth of material for the book and pouring in research from dozens of different books and scientific studies.

To be perfectly clear: I want this book to be released at around the same time I graduate with my 4-year degree and I want it to be polished, beautifully written and researched, and done right! You will NOT be disappointed. The Social Solution is another piece of writing that I am now taking the same approach with: using numerous scientific studies to support my arguments and examining much of my original logic from a whole new angle. All in all, the amount of reason that I will use to drive these works should be a breath of fresh air to readers (but I’ve been wrong before, hehehe).

To those of you who have been following my progress for years, I want to again and again offer my thanks for your ongoing attention and support. I have not always been perfect in my words nor my pursuits but I hope that I have at least made drastic headway toward having a name that has both credibility and respect. Not everyone has always enjoyed the tone through which I sometimes argue or even discuss but I hope that most realize that that tone comes from a true caring for others and a massive motivation to make the world a better place. I look forward to talking with many more of you over the course of 2011 and over the years to come.
